A new chapter is on the way for this well-known Sale pub. We remain open during the transition, with a short planned closure in August for essential repairs, maintenance, external redecoration and a full rebrand before reopening as The Trafford Harp.

We are pleased to confirm that the pub currently trading as The Block & Gasket is not closing permanently. The venue is entering an exciting new chapter and will soon become The Trafford Harp – a modern Irish-inspired Manchester pub built around great pints, live sport, music, proper comfort food and good craic.
The pub will continue to trade as The Block & Gasket during the transition period. In August, we plan to close briefly for approximately one week to complete essential repairs, maintenance, external decoration and the new brand installation. Exact dates will be confirmed nearer the time.
When we reopen as The Trafford Harp, customers can expect a warmer, more vibrant pub experience with improved external signage, lighting, a refreshed look, strong drinks, live sport, music, bottomless brunch and a proper pub food offer.
